Leiden....

City of lights.. .no, I left my heart in... no, if you can make it there ,
you can.... no, where the streets have no name.... no, o.k. let's start with the coat of arms of Leiden the keys to the City:

Leiden is the city where I live, you'll find it between Amsterdam and Rotterdam almost on the coast of the North-sea it is definitely worth a visit, there are at least 5 museums of a very high standard, all situated in the City centre in walking distance of each other, there are many historic houses and buildings, build hundreds of years ago. The city has a nice relaxed atmosphere and food and drinks are available in great abundance and diversity.
(POP. +/- 100.000 ALT. are you sure you want to know? well o.k. actually most of the city is below sea-level)
Leiden has a world famous University and it's present is obvious in the City of course. You'll notice the many students their many many let's say colourful bicycles, caffés , restaurants and special bookshops. Leiden has a nice mixture of shops and on saturday a street market attracting thousends of visitors from neighbouring towns.

Molen De Valk:

A little story in dutch (sorry) about a book writen by a friend of mine about this 250 years old famous windmill.

P&P ongeveer $10 kosten. Voor meer inlichtingen gewoon even emailen.

Shopping in Leiden:

In this area I give a chance to local shops to advertise

Het Steentje you'll find it near City Hall on the Breestraat it is a gift and souvenir shop. The owners travel all over the world to find special things for their shop. The shop is there for more than five years already It is a shop that you can easily miss they hardly advertise and have no neon signs.
